4×4 Offroad & Used Parts Welcomes Returning Mechanic

FORT COLLINS, CO–(Marketwired – Aug 21, 2013) – 4×4 Offroad & Used Parts proudly announces the hiring of an ASE certified master technician, Danny Dockins. He has been consistently providing 4×4 service and repair in the Fort Collins area for many years.

Dockins was first hired as a mechanic in 1995. At that time, the business was called Fort Collins 4×4, and he worked there until 2000. When the business was sold that year, he continued as a technician under the new owners until June 2006. He was then promoted to service manager until 2013.

In July, Dockins returned to 4×4 Offroad & Used Parts as a master technician. Besides being an ASE certified master technician, he is also A/C certified. This certification means that he has taken classes and passed tests based on the EPA-required standards for handling refrigerant mechanisms.

The company where Dockins works is composed of two parts, a store and a mechanics’ shop. The first part sells used auto parts and after-market accessories, while the second half consists of a full-service auto repair center.

“We are happy to have him back,” states Justin Schleppy, co-owner and general manager of 4×4 Offroad, while speaking about re-hiring Dockins. “Danny is an amazing fabricator and his hands-on experience will be a valuable asset in our shop.”

4×4 Offroad is a family-owned and operated business, focusing on care of all off-road vehicles, maintenance, and traveling in rural areas. They specialize in Jeep repairs, and can perform any vehicle tasks from oil changes to custom auto modifications. The company has nearly 30 years of experience in providing heavy duty, off-road service and parts.

With nearly twenty years of experience behind him, Dockins is well-qualified to maintain and repair a wide variety of vehicles. He joins half a dozen other mechanics and employees, many of whom are familiar faces, at 4×4 Offroad & Used Parts.

4X4 Offroad assists Larimer County Mountaineers in annual trail clean-up

Fort Collins, CO (RELEASE DATE) – For over 30 years, Larimer County 4WD Club, Inc., also called the Larimer County Mountaineers, has participated in the Adopt-A-Trail program, in conjunction with US Forest Services. This year, 4X4 Offroad Network, located in Fort Collins, Colo., will be participating in the Mountaineers’ clean-up program, taking place May 18-19, 2013.

Adopt-A-Trail volunteers will be responsible for the clean-up and revision of two public areas, Seven Mile Trail and Kelly Flats 4X4 Trail, both located in Roosevelt National Forest.

“4X4 is a big club supporter and we support them,” said Craig Stumbough, Mountaineers club member.

While working on Seven Mile Trail, a premier off road trail in Northern Colorado, volunteers will divert water back to Seven Mile Creek instead of allowing it flow down the path and cause damage.

They will fix signage, conduct basic maintenance and close social trails, which are shortcuts that have been created as a consequence of foot traffic.

In preparation for the Kelly Flats trail opening in May, volunteers will conduct a campground clean-up and prep the trail by clearing deadwood, closing social trails and also cleaning necessary areas.

“We do our share to keep these trails open,” Stumbough said. The Mountaineers are a family-oriented club, organized in 1965, which promotes and enjoys the recreation of four-wheeling.

For more information about how to volunteer at the Mountaineers’ trail clean-up, please contact 4X4 at 970-224-1133.
