4X4 Emissions Testing / Tire Rental
As a result of the State of Colorado’s attempt to decrease the levels of harmful air pollution and ozone emissions throughout the Denver, Boulder and North Front Range area, all Colorado vehicles are required to have an emissions test every one to two years, depending on the vehicle’s registration renewal requirements.
While the emissions test itself is fairly straightforward, some customized 4X4 vehicles may run into trouble. Vehicles with tires larger than manufacturer-equipped tires will not safely fit on the dynamometer. These tires must be returned to stock condition for successful emissions testing. The state will not authorize a test for vehicles with non-original oversized tires.
Unfortunately, many vehicle owners don’t keep their original stock tires after they have switched to larger tires. 4X4 Offroad Network offers numerous makes and models of stock tires for rent to save vehicle owners time and stress when satisfying the state emissions testing requirements. Please contact us to rent tires for the day and 4X4 can even install the rental tires for you at our service center. Call 970-224-1133 for more information.
